How to Measure AUDUBON'S Conventional Weave and Single Weave
1. Place the ruler on a Diagonal (not straight across as with the other mesh  
   styles)
2  Count the number of openings in 1"    That will give you the Mesh Number.      (above picture is a 4 mesh since it has 4 openings).
2. Measure the Wire Gauge.
